Hunting Eggs

Today was the last day of term and Mr Budge was in a real grumpy mood! He told us that we could not have an Easter egg hunt because there was still too much learning to do. But then the Easter Bunny took over the whiteboard and told Mr Budge that he did not have a choice and that the Easter Bunny had made a magic trail for us to follow and find some Easter treats for being such great learners.

However it would not be easy and the Easter Bunny told us that only rabbits could follow his magic trail. But then we had an idea and decided we would disguise ourselves as rabbits so we could see the magic clues and find the Easter treasure.

So we got really busy making our disguises and practising how we could pretend to be rabbits and then went in search of the clues.

We hopped and sniffed our way all around school and each time we found a clue we had to listen really carefully and work out the Easter Bunny’s puzzles to find the next clue. With all the hopping and sniffing we had to do we were really tired by the time we found the last clue and thought the Easter Bunny was tricking us when it led back to our classroom.

We looked around and nothing had changed. So we definitely though the Bunny was being tricky. But then we noticed something in one of our trays and, when we looked, we found that the Easter Bunny had left each of us some little Easter treats in each of our trays.

We had enjoyed ourselves so much that some of us wrote quick thank you notes to the Easter Bunny before going to lunch. Luckily, by this time, the Easter Bunny had worked his magic and even Mr Budge was not grumpy anymore!
