As part of our learning about space and aliens we have been on an outdoor adventure into space with Joe, our outdoor learning teacher. It was so much fun and we really felt that we had visited space.

First we had to build our very own rocket and work as a team to make it strong and powerful enough to fly us right into space. Once we had done this we blasted off into the unknown! After travelling millions of miles we landed on a strange alien planet and explored all the strange alien plants and rocks we found there. While we were doing this we were thinking of lots of describing words for all of the things we discovered that we might be able to use for our space adventure writing.

We even met an alien and got to ask them lots of different questions about the planet they lived on and find out all about the things they did there. We also got to explore the planet with the alien and learn to move like them.

Once we finished exploring we went back to our rocket to start our journey back to Earth, but discovered that there was a problem. The rocket had broken and we were trapped on the planet. Luckily, we were really brave and clever space explorers and worked together to fix our rocket and travel back home in time for the end of school.

We cannot wait to see what other adventures we might get up to in the future!
