Party on the Pier

It was really nice to see so many children and families at ‘Party on the Pier” on Friday. I’m not sure I’m not sure I’ve seen the pier so crowded in the summer, and definitely not on a cold and damp November night. Everyone seemed to be having loads of fun and it was exciting to wait for the lights to appear on Verity. I know my Sam was really excited about it happening, and was still making me smile with some of the things Verity makes him think about, until they came on.

But he was speechless when the fireworks started and I think that was the quietest he’s been for the last six years J They were amazing weren’t they! They are the biggest fireworks I remember seeing for a long time and they were so loud and their colours and patterns were incredible. Sam told me afterwards that the fireworks were “better than the chips”, which means they must have been good.

I hope all of 1JB who went enjoyed themselves as much a Sam and I. Everyone I bumped into seemed to be having real fun and I cannot wait to hear what your favourite part of the night was for .
