This term, as part of our learning about space, we have been thinking lots about writing exciting stories set in space. We have been reading lots of different space stories, retelling them in different ways and making our own characters and settings for our own space adventure stories.

Now, before we begin to write our own fantastical space adventures, we have been thinking of all the things that might happen in them. To help us do this we have been thinking hard about what happens at the beginning, middle and end of these types of stories and what we would need to include at these different parts to make ours just as exciting to read.

To do this as well as we can, we have been working on different story maps to help to make sure we include all the things we want to be in our stories and that they are in the right order to tell our story properly.

We started off by talking our story through and then drawing the different things that are going to happen, as well as adding sentences and describing words that we can use to help us write the best stories we can. We cannot wait to get started and write our very own adventures for other people to read and look forward to sharing them with others when they are finished.

But for now, have a look at some of our exciting story plans and imagine the exciting stories they will help us write.
