We have been practicing counting on from different numbers. We need to be able to count without going all the way back to one each time.

This is a really useful maths skill. We have been practicing this by playing different kinds of track games. This also helps us to practice a really tricky concept called 'difference'.

Being able to to say the difference between two numbers is really hard for some young children, so learning through play can make this easier.

You can practice this some more by going to this link http://www.iboard.co.uk/activity/Adding-Two-Dice-716 and playing the counting on with two dice game on your computer. Can you see how quick you can get with the answers.
