On World Book Day the Year 1 teachers had a fantastic treat up their sleeves.  We put on a very special performance of Little Red Riding Hood.  The story teller Mrs Hockley had a magical remote control with her which she used to pause and rewind the performace.  When she paused the performance she asked the children to come up with different ideas to change the story a little bit.  The wolf (Mr Budge) wasn't happy that he didnt get to eat Little Red the first time so he stole the remote and rewound thinking that the second time around he'd be able to fill his hairy belly, but tough old Granny (Miss Coleman) had other ideas! With a swift karate kick and one swipe of her walking stick she defeated that big bad wolf and the rest of the charaters lived happily ever after.
Here is what the children thought of the performance!
