Today we had a visit from some very small, very wrinkly alien friends.  The children had to use their observation skills to see how they moved around in the magical, fizzy space liquid.  First, we all looked really carefully at the 'zoigoids', we then dropped them in the liquid and waited to see what happened.  The children noticed that the bubbles lifted the 'zoigoids' up to the surface.  Lillie noticed that 'the bubbles are sticking to the sides', Sam noticed that 'the bubbles are lifting them up' and Taylor noticed that when the raisin reached the top the bubbles popped and it sunk back down again.  Afterwards the children had the chance to change the experiment, we tested different objects in the magic liquid like paperclips, carrots, grapes and beads.  We then decided to try a different liquid 'from the dark side of the planet' (coke!).  The children then made predictions of what they thought might happen and then recorded what actually happened.
